Kurt.
Here's some pics of my recently completed Cook build. It's serial 1890 so with these frame features that makes it an '82. Props to Brisben, Jarvi and Gnarley for the pics (taken at the Aussie show at Roberto's in Brisbane on Sunday). See the "Who is from Australia" thread in Worldwide (starting about page 1078) for more mindblowing builds than you can count...

Props to Claude (Mastertint), Waza, Mick (Volcano), Jake(sumo178), Matt (JMCGT), Marty (Mrbmx), Adam (acgto) and Anthony (v8ute) for help with various bits.

This was my and Stu's (84profile) "Cook Corner" at the show!

Awesome build mate! good2.gif Z rims look perfect on it.
One of my fav Cook Bros...BLING! (nice bar pad too wink.gif )
The Red Baron
Very nice! You just cannot go wrong with a Cook. cool.gif

...and what about that yellow hack? Is that for sneaking in between two other hacks when they bounce off each other? laugh.gif

Hey Kurt, it was great to stick em' together at the show...

Here is a poor quality iPhone picture of Kurt and his Cook Bros.

Kurt.
Hey thanks for posting that Stu. You can see by the sun and how tired I look how late in the day that was!

Red Baron - that hack was off the chain - it's a recent restoration of a "Super LA". One of only about 7 they built bitd apparently. Looks fast and light huh!? Aluminium. Any of the aussies know who owns it?

Photo below is by Mick (Volcano).

More pics from the show (about 140 bikes) here:

Jarvi
Here's a couple more I took.

The red colour of the rims was very vibrant and still doesn't come out nearly as good in the photos as they were in person.

Great Build Kurt!

Cook = Class!

Man that is clean.

Can I ask why you went with rat traps? It looks like you went all stock with it but the flights kinda throws that off. Sweet bike regardless. wink.gif

I like the rat traps - makes a difference to all the bling pedals people usually go with.

Are those 7B rims - they look very RED.

COASTY
Andy they are Zrims !! A truly great Cook Bros Kurt. I am very lucky to have taken the bike for a little ride and it's very tight. Beautiful to ride. Thanks Kurt.
The Zs and Ratraps make it perfect.

Hey thanks guys!

The look I was going for was an early 80's build with a guy that was still hanging on to a bit of the 70's.

The KKT K-MX or B-MX rat traps were run with flights by a number of the pros right in to '82 - Stu for example.

I also didn't want to go the complete "Cook suite" - I could have put Cook cranks on her for no more $ but really like the Flights.

I did initially build her with red Magnesium KKT lightnings, but wanted to make her a bit more moto - so went with the rats.

Hey Glenn - thanks mate - I always build them so you can ride 'em!

Cool deal.

for the record, I wasnt knocking the pedals. I was just curious why you went with those instead of something more bling for the era, such as the kkt's. It's good to see people bucking the norm.
MOBMAN
Cook Bros. always had the best Chrome jobs. Beautiful, beautiful bikes. Awsome work!
