The Red Baron
My wife (the Baroness) just found this program/flier from her brothers (Jon Anderson) trip to Japan in October of 1981. So I figured I would share this with you guys. I love the track layout, it reminds me of some of the slot car tracks I design.

Of course I recognize Stu on top of one of the pages and that is Jon on top of the other, but I am not sure who the other riders are.

Do you guys have any ideas?

I will try to help out....forgive me if the spelling of the names is wrong.

Location: Sakai city, Japan (near Osaka)
Date : October 25th, 1981

Rider 1: Stu Thompson (California)
Rider 2: Bobby Strandburg (Florida)
Rider 3: Danny Grapes Junior (Iowa)
Rider 4: John Anderson (California)
Rider 5: Todd Roach (California)
Rider 6: John Mazolf (West Germany)

Again, I am not sure of the spelling of their names and just translated from Japanese into English. Each rider has a little profile too under their name

Hope that helps
Jamie

Arigato Gozaimashita! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! (hope I got the spelling right) It has been awhile since I have had to use my small knowledge of Japanese - and Katakana always threw me for a loop---Sauni Dain (Dennis' wife)

That was the my wife chiming in there, (Jon Anderson is her brother) She also lived for 2 years in Japan back in the 80s, so she enjoys searching through her memory of Japanese language.

Thanks again Jamie,

Dennis Dain

From memory John Marzolf lived in the Maryland / New Jersey area, rode for Torker East as well.

Funny, it's Donny Graves.... not Grapes. He was born around early 68'
and rode at that time for RRS factory team. He was from So. Cal
and his local track was Corona/ Norco BMX.
Donny Graves, Todd Roach, and Jon Anderson were all really close to
the exact same age.

Todd Roach and his older brother Pat had a BMX mail order business
in So. Cal. I think they were locals at either Ascot or that other
track near El Segundo, Ca.

Hi Mr. Red Baron, no problems at all! You are more than welcome !! DO ITASHIMASHITE

As for the spelling, oops sorry...grapes or graves, its in KATAKANA which is a kind of Japanese spelling for foriegn words and they have no pronounication for V sounds so sometimes it comes out weird and sounds like grapes, I believe I may have mentioned about the spelling...cheers people
