The presentation was top notch. I heard many a person stating they didnt think that many Slingshots even existed!!
Guys,
We really appreciate all of your comments. The bikes are great, and it has been fun building them up. It took me twenty years to finally build the red square frame one.
What is even better than the bikes or the display is that most of the riders form the original team helped us in some way or another with the display.
We had help from:
Mark Groendal - Original owner of Slingshot - Provided us with a first generation Slingshot T - shirt.
Gordy at Freewheeler Bike Shop in Grand Rapids - one of if not the first dealer to sign on to sell Slingshot, either with the history of the company, timeline, finding bikes etc.
Brent Walk - Tema Mgr and AA pro. He sold us the 24" curiser weeks ago after we made him aware of our intention and upon learning that we did not yet own a 24" along with promotional material on the bikes. Even one of his old team jerseys and number plates
Kevin Nawak - Gave us some early brochures. stickers, and promotional material regarding the slingshot action.
David Hill - Helped with some historical information and authorized the use of his name
Joe Tindall - team rider authorized us to use his name
David Spots - Team rider authorized us to use his name
Ted Reys - team rider authorized us to use his name.
Top Notch team and people all around. Maybe next year the Mini will win its class! It is one of two ever made!
It really is a tribute, like many of the bikes at rockford, to the riders, team managers, and past team owners.
