I agree, great weather...Next year I will have to get there earlier! I was talking with a few people at the show about this thread...Vintage purists, open at your own risk...This almost made me sick!

CHEEZ ( chuck) i really appreciate you providing and cooking breakfast for everyone. BRETT ( WILLINOIS ) I appreciate the donation of a Haro group 1 to the raffle and you being there until the end to help with everything down to tucking me in at night * no spooning * ROB ( HUTCHHOUND ) Who even though did not make it this year donated very largley to the food purchase and i am still in awwwll from that i thank you. JEFF ( JT ) made the long haul from MINNESOTA to represent the FACTION, Totally enjoyed the conversation and appreciate the commitment of the drive. I also would like to thank everyone who donated to the raffle and donated to the show its the donations that help the show to go on.
To everyone else who attended and or planning on attending next year the wife and myself have just added two classes to the lineup Since it will be the (5TH ANNUAL ) next year will hopefully provide to be a revamped show.

Thanks so much to you and your wife James, I'm glad I got to attend this year. It was a great event with a real bro-down atmosphere (which I think is the best). And thanks to all who voted for my bike (crappy looking decals and all). It felt good after not even getting a mention at Rockford. See all uf you at PEP's (hopefully

).

I got the picture of the spider in the back of the truck and identified it brett
Thats the closest i have ever been to a brown recluse and feel very lucky I didnt get bit that morning when i loaded everything

James,
That was not a brown recluse as they only get to the size of a quarter, and recluses do not carry their egg sac. The research I just did makes me believe that it was the largest Wolf spider I have ever seen. It's odd posture was due to the female tucking under it's abdomen to protect the attached egg sac. For those who missed it, it was a very scary spider about the size of my hand with it's legs extended. It was standing almost upright with legs straight down making it kinda look like a camel spider from desert storm.
Also, thanks again for the very wonderful gathering and hospitality.
Here is the closest picture I could find online:

It was actually a Nursery Web Spider or Fishing spider from the same family. They often get that big and they carry the egg sac in their fangs like the one we saw:

hey now james, you are stealing my victory ! there had to be at least two entries in the 75-79 20 inch class, because i won first with the chrome 79 sting and second went to the black webco. there must have been no entries in the 70's cruiser class only. i would like to know how many there actually were in the 20 inch class.

yep thats what he said. If I had to guess I'd say there was at least between 10 to 15 70's 20"
You won against JT's Skibble DG & my Profab that won last year and it had alot more competition in the 70's class, so must have done really well, props man

that makes me a bit more sense that it was not a recluse I only did a search for local midwest large spiders The recluse was the only spider i could find that looked close and even then couldnt find any photos of one carrying the eggs. thanks for the research brett never hurts to have some education. as for the 70's class it was the 24 inch class that again had none the 20 inch class had less than usual so had to throw that in there. But reading it does make it seem as if there was no entries in either classes

I just made it home, just kidding!!! Too busy at work and got sick
It was great to represent the MN Faction at the 4th Annual show! Got my fix of Happy Joes pizza, yeah I know it's not the best but it was the perfect time to stop for dinner from Saint Paul.
Talk about a great group of guys and gals!!! We all had a wonderful time getting baked in the sun, goofin' around on the bikes, watchin' Bret bunny hoppin', Steven under barrin', tons of great bikes, parts for sale/swap, awesome awards & raffle prizes, talk about great food all day, great stories, and gnarly host with the most James and all that helped make this a wonderful day!
Was so busy riding around I didn't take too many shots either but here they are!

Thanks to all that participated and really had a great time ridin', talkin', and sharing our love of BMX!
James, thanks again for your hospitatlity and lookin' forward to recruiting more to join in next year for the 5th!!

Well another great gathering has come and gone. I missed this last year due to health reasons but this year my boy and I made it and I had a great time! First off a huge THANKS goes out to James and his family for putting on this event, and right in my backyard no less! Good food and good times for sure! Another big THANKS to Chuck aka "cheez" for the breakfast, good stuff bro! It was good to see all the usual suspects show up and really great to meet some new people I had only chatted with on the boards. Was really cool to see JT make it all the way down here from MN representing the Faction, gonna have to make a showing up north sometime to represent the MILITIA for sure! Hey JT, even though my son may have seemed a little shy towards you, man did he have a blast hangin with ya! He was so stoked about you "helping" him with his first Pedal Picker, he couldn't wait to tell mom, LOL! You're one cool cat man, you made Logans day! Can't forget the Bunnyhop champ, Brett, always a pleasure to be in your company, lot's of good comedy for sure! In closing I just want to say........ Hey James, leave your pet spider at home next time, that thing gave me the chills! LOL!

Derek you need to teach Logan how to do the Superman bunnyhop!!
This was one of the funniest things I had ever seen. Thank God Derek had some cocktails in him. That landing looked like it hurt.
