I keep hearing about some company that repopped GT tires. (Vancom I think...)Does anyone know where I can get some? Most of what I see on the bay is the real thing and going for a lot. My next door neighbor found I was into vintage bmx stuff and after seeing my passion for it he decided to pull out his neon pink 87 pro performer and started cleaning it up. It's really coming along. Seeing him so excited about it is really cool. I helped him with getting his mags back to white and have been encouraging him in anyway I can. He will need a set of white tires soon. He cannot afford much so I was thinking if the repops are cheap they should be what he is looking for.

Do they still make them or was it just a one time thing and GT shut them down? From the stuff I find on ebay it seems they have not been made for awhile.

What about the white ones on eBay all the time for like $35? Are they reproductions? They look great.

Those appear to be the Vancom ones I am was referring to. I just wanted a little more info on them before I told my neighbor about them.
