Hi, I'm new here and this is my first topic. I was hoping some of you would remember this track BITD. I also raced in Fontana, but cant remember the name....

I don't remember racing in San Bernadino. I believe I race at a Fontana track once. I think Cook Brothers sponsored a race at a Fontana track and I won. (that's why I remember )

Thats cool... What years did you race there? Remember any names? THe only one I can remember was Chris McGee? Back of his jersey said " The Way". I know cause I was always behind him

I raced there once It was NBA a buddy of mine that lived in palm springs that raced bmx went out there.
I just remember that the gate was really short and it was very easy to get your front wheel up and over it.
I think it was 1979 when I was there.

Yeah I raced there in 78-79...How old were you then? The thing I remember about the gate was is like a 2x12 and the gate starter dropped it manually with a large release lever....And at the finish line was like 20 ft of sand 6" deep you had to plow thru. At the time I'm not sure why but it was ABA and NBL. I was only like 7 then..
