Right then - been wanting to get this finished for a while now but finally got my last bits I needed. I wanted to do a mongoose blue max with some nice parts since essentially the F&F is a cali but mongoose used to put some cheaper bits on them as stock BITD. I picked it up as a really tidy survivor a while back - the frame was really clean with real nice original decals as the bike had been housed from new and looks as if it was well looked after

I used the frame and forks, tange stamped BB, tange stamped headset and unstamped takagi crank and then set about getting all the parts I wanted for it........

I'm well pleased how she's turned out - Hope you like it too

That is one nice bike. You have obviously put alot of thought and knowledge into making that a bike that I would have seen at the track BITD.

Hi 'smokin steve styler' thanks for that - I had the bar pad and frame pad made from scans and dimmensions from original survivors - but I never liked those original weird wide nylon blue max stem pads with the press studs and I couldn't find any record of there ever being a velcro "cali style" pad after that one - so I had the logo re-drawn from the other scans and edited / sized to suit what I wanted for the stem pad.

That is one beautiful bike...after 10 minutes of staring at it...i felt my eyes burning and realized I hadn't blinked. Beautiful is all I can say.
