I'm trying to get a complete list of the NORA Cup winners from its inception in 1979 up until Wizard Publications closed in '92. I have most of the info but need a little help, mostly with the later years. Fill in the blanks if you can. Here's what I have so far:

Thanks,
JR.

#1 Bicycle: GT

1990

#1 Team: GT
#1 Bicycle: GT

1991
#1 Rider Gary Ellis
#1 Team: GT
#1 Bicycle: GT

1992
No awards, Go Magazine folded.

Source: Snap BMX Magazine September/October 1997 Vol.4 Iss.5 No.18 pg.26

The last issue of Go was March 1992, so results were never found (or at least published)

As for 1987, technically it was a GT sweep but Brackens had left the team (salary dispute) after the ballots were mailed but just before the results were counted. All the other results you listed are correct (same sorce: Snap September/October 1997) including the 1989 results "Racer" gave you.

For a little trivia:

Snap BMX Magazine revived the award in its September/October 1997 issue The first winner of the new NORA Cup Awards as published in the January/February 1998 issue pg.41:

1998
#1 Rider: Gary Ellis
#1 Team: GT/WD-40
#1 Bicycle: GT

Gary Ellis was still on GT Bicycles/WD-40, so GT pick up rigt after it left off seven years before!! Ellis retired after the 1998 ABA Grand Nationals.

It's surprising that Patterson never did very well in the Team category seeing as they had three of the best racers on their team (Brent, Brian & Richie). The best they ever managed was 5th in the 1984 poll. An 8th in the '85 poll was their only other mention.

I think that even though they had those 3 and Kevin Ridling and John Crews it really didnt seem a team, Patterson was more like Pros plus Richie. Not to mention they didnt have the ad budget. Other top "Teams" missing from that list would suprise alot with all the talent: CW, Thruster, Torker and Hutch.
