Here's a pair I picked up this weekend, expanding my collection into RatRod Bikes. I am super happy with them. Both are in rideable condition. I was told they are 40's Prewar. Enjoy.

I call this photo, "out to pasture."

Wow. No props at all. sad.gif

No dude. Big props. Are you going to do anything with them or leave them alone?
aluv
Thank you sir! For the most part I am going to leave them alone....frame and fork wise. I plan on putting on some new rims and white wall tires and handlebars, keeping the original parts stashed away. Going for that ratrod bike look. They should turn out pretty sweet. Cruise them around the neighborhood.

I wanna do a rat, too.

Mine will be a board track replica with inverted bars and maybe a filled in frame to look like a gas tank all rusted with new Hutch pedals!
Lonewolf
Man, you guys are LAME!!!!! You guys don't know what cool is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
taylor39t
That is what I'm talkin about.

I like that look. When I go to a cruise or car show the ratts always catch my eye.

A big ZERO bar for you.

LOVE THOES CRUISERS

we were back east last year at this time and I bought a old schwinn cruiser at a thrift store in Pennsylvania for $30.00
It sure does not look as old as thoes but I have wanted a old cruiser for some time (20 years) I used the cruiser on my paper routes in so cal for 5 years and i just love them.
What did ya pay for the set? Why put new bars and stuff on them? are they that bad, I can see new tires but????
Very cool rides.

These types of bikes and Muscle Bikes were the ones I was into before Old School BMX. I still do lots with them, you guys would freak if you saw my projects. A bit of everything. Very nice rides, No. 7 will clean a lot of the wear and tear off those.

I'm a little mad. I spent most of yesterday researching REAL board track race bikes. Now, I had a clue to begin with, but seeing two guys literally build a 1915 Cyclone knock off and an Excelsior big X (complete with engine from scratch and the fact that I am a real motorcycle designer in a former life), has led me into new areas of consideration.

Maybe I won't build a board tracker rat bicycle. Maybe it'll be a real motorcycle, knock off Indian 1920 Daytona with fake patina. HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.

I am currently looking for an engine that will fill the bill. You can source radial twin air cooled motors all day, but this one needs to look like it should be on the bike.

In case some of you think I'm talking smack, maybe I am, but tell me if the pictured equipment looks like a tubing bender and a Miller Trailblazer with a remote High frequency box?

I will post a picture of the 1920 Daytona and a video of another, earlier Indian, being lit up.

You owe it to yourself to see the video. At about 5 Min, 50 sec. into the video you will know why. The twin 1000s were OUTRAGEOUS!

Well, he wanted $75 each, but there was a third bike that I wanted as well. So, I asked him if we could cut a deal and he threw the third bike in for free.

I want to change up the bars just to make them match the new tires and rims. Thanks.
