Well sort of...

Back in 86 I managed to convince my mom to buy me a custom RL20 that a local shop had pieced together with "imo" better than stock parts. I had a PK looptail that I was never comfortable on, and the RL just fit so much better. I also dug the turqouise, black, chrome paint scheme, and the exotic sports car style grafix, I always thought it was one of the best lookers. I rode this bike till I was 18 or 19 when someone broke into my garage and stole my pride and joy. I had so many memories on that bike....probably rode 100 chics on the comfy EZ Bars lol, rode to skool, to parties, learned a few flat tricks, jumped everything in sight, almost broke my neck once or twice, carried it in my Trans Ams hatch when I went to parties, and rode it home if I got to juiced...The old beat up RL meant so much to me, but some worthless scum bag stole it and probably traded it for a dime bag : (

I been collecting parts for the last 5 years to replicate the Redline I rode bitd, but the frame remained illusive...I finally got the frame to replace my long gone RL. The frame is mint, doesnt have a mark on the drops, and only a few minor imperfections...all original paint and decals, doesnt look like its ever seen sun...probably in better condition than mine was new in 86.

Huge thanks to Marco aka RL20-II Dreamin' for hooking me up with the RL and some other choice parts...even tossing in a few sweet extras after the deal was done !

Thanks to Brian P and others that I know been looking out for me...

Oh !!! I need 2 little parts to make this an "exact" replica of my old bike...If anyone could hook a brutha up ?

A white Tioga Flow seat clamp, and a black Tioga CD chainwheel is all I need to complete my beast !!

Heres some pics of the frame, I think I'll start building it next week...."sToKeD"

Joe,
I also have a NOS Tioga quick release seatclamp for you if you need it!

I'm stoked for you as well.....these are the best kind of builds, IMO.

Man, you could put Gemco bike parts on that frame and it would still look good! So cool that you're getting it back together as ridden.

That looks awesome! Can't wait to see it all together.

Awesome. So glad you're happy with it!

Yeah, it's such a ***** getting your bike stolen! I lost a dream build white Haro Master with Hutch stem and Shimano DX pedals when playing Gauntlet at Waveland Bowl. Totally regret that day! And then years later because of ebay I ride better Haros now!

Now I got an 87 Sport, 88 Master, and a modded 2006 Sport Retro remake #60 of 1000!

But Haros are such HEAVY bikes!

That's a killer Redline F & F! Where and how did you get it? For how much?

Congrats on the find. That is one sweet looking F and F. Now get that thing together and shoot more pics! smile.gif

Thanks props and the seat clamp offer guys !! I'm going to keep the suntour clamp on for now, I have a beat up flow clamp that I'll eventually send out to Chip for some powder.

I gotta build this thing...I'm off for 7 days, this will be done this week ! Eventually I'll get the right sprocket and seat clamp, and I'll just swap'em then. probably use a Peregrine CD I have, or a Tioga CD chainring with a powerdisk, or the sugino spyder for now...

Sweet looking frame. I just posted my red RL20a frame over in the Redline Club forum. Looks nothing like yours though. Keep us updated.
