I posted this in the Retro New School Forum, but I had to share this with you guys, too. Afterall, I'm a freestyler at heart.

I was going to wait until it was 100% finished before posting, but I'm excited and can't wait to show her off!

Still need to cut down the steer tube and add compression device. Will eventually get a V-Brake, but I'm loving the brake performance of the Bulldog on the rims, this baby stops on a dime.

I cannot believe how much fun it is to ride this, it's my new daily rider and a head-turner.

Don't cut it off too short, you may want a rotor in the future...

didn't think you could use a rotor with that brake?

It's a caliper brake pulled off a GT with a Gyro. As far as a V brake, I don't know if it could be used with a Gyro.

Sweet bike, and an Interesting mix of parts, looks like it will be a solid rider...one things missing though ?? Ya need some JIVE HANDLES bro : )

Gyro wont work correctly with a V-brake...

These Quads ride so smooooth, and the geometry makes them feel like a rocket...I dont know how much of a flat bike it would be, but Alvin shreds the parks with his...

Heres my 07 that I built a few weeks ago...

Hahah, yeah you're right. The A'me grips came with the bars and are only temporary. The mandatory Jive Handles will be installed soon as well as stem spacers, compression bolt and new tires. But I've decided not to run a detangler on this baby and keep it as a pure street/jumping bike.

The cranks and wheels are circa 1980s pulled from two other bikes and they perform very well. Will eventually strip and polish the Pro Class rim walls for looks, although the braking performance is already excellent.

I agree about the geometry and dimensions, I've never ridden a bike that felt this good. I'm 6'1" and 175 lbs, this Quad fits me like a glove.

By the way, I'm diggin' your '07 Quad....love that baby blue.

Race Inc dude
those bikes are so sweet

Thanks, aluv. I decided to switch the Skyways for the vintage rims mainly because of weight and because I love how the ACS freecoaster hub is virtually silent.

Hey man, get your Quad built and keep me posted on the progess with pics.

ACS Rotors suck, but Gyros and Oryg's are good! And my 2000 PK Ripper is modded to work with a cantilever braker and gyro! But the cantilevers hurt the action and are hard to adjust.

That's why I SE Racing bikes suck - they use cantilever brakes!

That ain't no freestyle bike if it got no Gyro, Pegs, and front and rear brakes! It needs work!

This is not going to be a freestyle ride, only street/jumping. It's just an addition to my other bikes which ARE freestylers.

So you went with GT bars afterall huh???? You were holding out on me....had more than one!!!!

Just playin'

Inspiration to get my but movin' on mine now!

Easy aluv, he'll learn that it's ok to have freestylers AND racers in our stables.

You got the good bars! My bars bare the scars of an oxalic acid episode....stained the chrome pretty good. Also stains stainless steel, you should see my kitchen sink!

I stay by 39th and meridian. There are a few dirt jumps around the neighborhood. At Dolese park and some by willowcliff apartments but they are run down a bit. HIt me up and we can ride sometime. I'm 38 so not as crazy as I once was but definately like to get out and have some fun.

Right on, I'm 37 and a way much tamer rider than BITD. But I would like to do some dirt jumping.

May be a week or so before I get my Quad ready for abuse, gotta get a stem compression bolt due to headst play, cut down the steer tube and get higher pressure tubes/tires.

Yes, I apologize. Personally I use the word "ain't" everyday.
