The neighbor that gave it to me said he talked to his kid about it, who said its an 80's Cook Bros?
Again, no serial number or markings. Did Cook Bros make a frame without any markings?

Any insight is greatly appreciated, and to all those that made an offer for it thinking it is a Widowmaker, sorry about the confusion. I assume its not what you're looking for

I am not real familiar with just what Cook Bros offered back then, but that is who made a lot of early S&M stuff, so that is very possible.

I took it over to a friends place, and he's never seen a Cook Bros like this.

Here is the thing, I had an earlier model S&M Holmes in chrome. It had the exact, and I mean exact same bottom bracket, headtube, dropouts, chainstay brace and seatube brace. I mean exact. The serial number was like HXL0791 or something very close to that. Thats why I tend to think its a Widowmaker. I think someone told me that my early model Holmes was made by Revcore, but yeah, still an S&M Holmes at that.

Its a Widowmaker as far as I am concerned.

Thanks Danno, and sorry to have beaten this to death. I just really wanted to know for certain. That kid sayin its a Cook messed me up. You would think he would know what he was riding, right?

No problem dave, thats what this site is for. The early S&M stuff is hard to figure out, general word is Moeller had about everyone he could find building him something or another at the time. Kid may have thought hey, this is a Cook's frame, when truth be told yeah it is, but its a cook's frame made for S&M.

Glad someone from the site seems to have scored it. I hate to see anything go through egay. This site has the supreme top of the line when it comes to people who truely appreciate what all of this is about.
