Gary so draw it out lol. My head hurts trying to remember how it was. I only raced it in 81. So I dont know if it was changed or how long the track lasted as I moved West in fall of 81. Even though I bought my first and third bike from Pedaler's I never rode for them. I wanted to bad in 78/79 but was just a Novice, by the time I was good enough I rode for Langley's then Action Wheels. If I ever find a blank blue and white jersey I plan to make my own Pedaler's East jersey!
I remember the jerseys werent mesh but polyester or something. I had one I bought from them in 78, but it was just a blank team jersey.
I dont remember Mikes Bike Shop. I hung out with, crap having a mental block. I know him and his brother were from Medford Lakes. Man I wish my old ABA papers werent stolen. They got stolen in the 90s in Malaga, NJ. His name is on the tip of my tounge...Ok his younger brother was Doug Mayer but for the life of me cant remember the older brother I raced with. Gary or Dan maybe?
JJJ
Wow, amazing to see that there is someone, besides my brother, who remembers racing with me back in the day. Jeannie Jackson here, well Jeannie Houts now, but you get the idea. I recall David Nieto as being cooler than cool back in the day. I was just talking with my 6 year old son about back when mom used to race BMX.

That's cool.. David Nieto was on the same team as me. Holeshot Racing. 78-80 David Nieto, Steve Burnett, Zach and Jeannie Jackson, Joe Bartlett.

Guys i used to race down at Alameda bmx of of 4th st i believe, back in the early ninetys, was about 15-16. Used to ride almost everyday with kenth Fallen, he was twelve or thirteen at the time (already fast) and Larry "Ace" Baca. anyhow i moved to Washington and lost all my pld photos so if anyone has any photos from the early ninetys please post then and i,ll try to get an overhead sat pic up of the old alameda track i can find it on google earth. man memories just pour into your head when you start thinking about the old days. Also does anyone remember the super nationals track in El Paso i think it was 92 or 93 i have been trying to describe those doubles coming out of the third corner they were huge! my friends up here dont believe me on how big they were. so any pics of that nat would be awesome!

That track looks like it could be open for a race next week. Is it closed down?

From what i know it was closed when the new covered track was opened which i think was only a few years back. I m just guessing at that however because i am up in washington now. If anybody wants to see some old washoington tracks and race photos check out Genesbmx on facebook he has a great collection of reto bmx pics plus some video links. We have also posted alot of retro bmx pics from the eighties on our tracks web site and facebook page @ columbiabasinbmx.com.

Scott, I raced that track from 92 to 95. Did you know Kenth is #1 vet Pro? I remember beating Kenth and making him cry. Do you remember Thomas Fernandez? He's a Pro and trainer now.. Did you and I race? I was Jeremy “The Bullfrog” Carson. I might start racing again at Chehalem Valley BMX in Newberg, OR. I remeber the El Paso track. I raced the supers in 92 and 93. It was a sick track. I think it was called Road Runner BMX. I also raced the grands in OKC, Las Cruces and Aztec N.M. Do you still race?
