CW's were pretty big, not too mention unique in a time where evrything was pretty distinctive, at least by today's standards. I wonder when someone will start making them again?

We've got some big bars in the works. And cruiser ones as well. They'll be VERY similar to some of the SE Power Wing bars from back in the day. Keep an eye out for 'em later this year. We'll have 'em on our retro bikes as well.

I put a set of Roseanne Bars on my Haro pit bike... they are HUGE!
The bike looks almost as wide as it is long and I turn my bars to get it through the door...
Solid Bikes quality is awesome! They are every bit as good as S&M, Standard and any of the other top USA bike makers and the prices can not be beat!

Have had them now for a few months and really enjoy them . Of coarse I had to shorten them to the legal limit though .

Really are nice bars . They replaced JMC DY from 1983 and it wasnt that big of a difference .

Todd I'm interested in the cruiser bars. Do you have specs and expected release date?
My current bar is 26.5" X 5.75" but I think 28" X 6" would be perfect.
Does anyone make a cruiser bar that is 28" wide?

Hey Guys,
These are the bars I'm sportin' on my cruiser. Early 90s profile cruiser bars, 4.5" h around 30"w. Actually, the bars were too wide and I couldn't fit through the traffic in New York and cut them down to 28". This size is perfect for me. I think, the only improvement would be a thinner cross bar to give them that old school look.

Elf made the best cruiser bars ever... 29" wide and about 5" of rise with a very shallow backsweep that makes them feel huge. The bends are also not very sharp so they don't look as "boxy"... I would like to see someone make an exact clone of those bars!
nvmyslowride
Jun 4 2009, 11:34 AM
Any bar could be made, but to keep price down , you need to make like 10 sets at once. Now if i had 10 buyers for bars, they could go into production. but to make random sizes in 1 or 2 gets pricy!

Yes, just like that but mine have a round crossbar...
They are the perfect "big" bars for a 26" bike...

This is the only good pic I have of my Elf cruiser bars... that's Brian Blyther goofing around on my Supercross MX-26 last year... he also really liked the feel of the bars, being nice and wide with a low profile that felt perfect on the 26...

The bike on the left is my BBR 1 (29yrs old this month & still unrestored) it has original Santa Ana 10 inch rise GT Bars , not the cool but smaller Pro Model GT bars.
The Black 1997 Quad cuffed to the BBR1 has a set of JC bars on it , same specs as the old BIG GT bars , only difference is they are newer , chromier , lack the GT sticker & have a JC stamp on one of the bar ends that gets covered by the grips when assembled.

These bars have sweet rise & bends for a 6ft tall rider on a 20inch BMX

I'm in for a pair of the 28X6 - Anyone else? STANDARD needs to make 10 sets to make this cost effective for them.

SE BLUE, if i would have to order special powder would just add to the cost, unless many people wanted to be SE blue, to off set custom powder price between customers!

After spending a bit of time on my 20" and then coming back to the 26" OM Flyer it now feel like cruiser bars are really tall. While I would still like the 28" width I'm starting to think that a 5" rise might be better.

The crupi cruisers are 28 x 6 .They have a 11 or 12 degree sweep like the slam 20' and minimal upsweep .I love these bars and am on my second set ,i heard that chrome is out as of a few months ago.
If se makes a 28x6 with some sweep im going to try them next. But the crupis will always be my throwbacks now .
Havent found a set of 20's i like yet .I think i like the 0 upsweep but at 8 inches they feel like 7 with no upsweep .
