I actually showed these grips to Ross Brawn a year ago, I swear I could see the light bulb go off in his head........

Like Ross, I have been developing this bike over the last year much like he and his crew have with the ex Honda team. Like me, his last piece of the puzzle was finding some big horsepower to put under the hood. While he has suceded at this, I have failed. I see at least another year of aerodynamic R&D in the wind tunnel to tune my body shape to be able to at least call myself a moto filler.

Here is my current Standard project. It is a 1998 Trail Boss. 21" Top Tube, with thrashed original paint and decals.......building it up right now. I am trying to recreate a look similar my original Trail Boss that I rode in 1997.
If any of you guys have any Standard parts that you want to sell, please let me know!! I need a lot of SBC stuff to finish the Trail Boss!!!!
Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic.

Here is my old trail boss, this photo was taken in 1997.

my '98 Trail Boss as I built it in late 1998. Its still the exact same (my rider). Powerbite cranks, Shimano DX pedals, Slam bars, 1998 Redneck, 990s f/r, Masterguard, Kink 43T, homemade pegs, 1987 Tioga Crazychain, Pitchforks, etc. I love it.

All others are crap.

Jess actually said she lifted a pic I had for the site, but I never saw it up there. I get lost and confused on the sbc site. teh internets are hard!
You know what I really don't like about my 20" is the chain wheel. I just don't think it looks good on that bike. the imperial looks good on the cruiser IMO, but I need one of these :

for the 20" in 44t and I'd take one for the cruiser in 38t.. since my current is only a 37t and not big enough for my strong strong legs. But, I don't think they come in 38t.

Great thread guys. All good SBC vibes. No BS no negatives, all good all positive.
I am so stoked on so many guys being down for life with Standard, I know first hand that the guys in the shop are working their butts off everyday to put out a quality SBC product everyday. Always changing, developing, moving forward. Always on the cutting edge and you cant deny that.
Keep it up guys and we will keep pumping out the good stuff on standardbyke.com
You guys are the heart and soul of the company, not the team, not the image, but the guys on the street, at the trails in the parks and at the track.
SBC is doin big things in '09!

I need a shorty or a shaman.
I like the purple STA. I have a chrome Haro Ultra frame that the front triangle the chrome is bad, but the rear is good. So, my plan is to paint it about the color of your STA to pic up the color in the decals in the pattern of the 87/88 masters (leaving the rear tri chrome).

<-- not mine, but included for the decals.
Anyway, I wouldn't need to do so if I could get my hands on an affordable Shaman or Shorty
