Here's my STA from '97. Translucent green with Tao cable routing. Before this I had one of the first, if not the first, Trailboss that came through Goodtimes. But when I saw this I had to switch!

And my first rail ever...in Davenport, IA. Sorry....it's a pic of a pic that is stuck to the glass of a frame!

Excuse the bump, but it's always nice to look at a bunch of Standards.

For you guys that have a 10+ year old Standard, do you still ride them hard? I picked up a used 2000 125r and it seems totally solid. No dents or rust or anything, but a used frame seems a little dicey to me. I know Standard does repairs, but do they do evals, too? They seem like such a rad company that they might.

Oh yes. I raced a 1999 Standard 125r last year. That thing was like a streamlined steel butterfly. It just felt solid and perfectly proportioned (geometry-wise), even though the rear end was a wee bit bent. Sure, it was out-dated, but I kinda liked running an American bottom bracket and standard head tube, probably because I'm old. Anyway, it did ok by me. The frame ended the season and its career 3 and 0. And I'd still be racing it, but I totally lucked out and won a brand new Standard 125r cruiser from the Midwest BMX Program (run by Nick, Rick, Jess and co) last winter. Yihah!

Cheers,
b.

Sick! Congratulations on all of that!

Do you find the new frame to be a significant improvement?

Here's my 125R Cruiser. I had it painted white and then I drew all over it and then had it clear coated.

Thanks!

The Odyssey pedals are great—I was skeptical at first, now I can't ride without them.

Anyone looking for a brand new TRLS 250? It is brand new never assmebled 2001 model, john deere green, orig SBC old school stickers, still has bike store tags attached to it. Rare model to find brand new.

Picked this up on CL. After some help from people, I found out that this is a '98 Trail Boss decal'd as a TRLS 250. It does have the flared seat mast towards the BB....

Now, I'm in search of a 125R f/f biggrin.gif ....
tenagator
Profile cranks
Suzue high flange
VG Brake Lever (fave best all time lever)
Super 7x rims
Standard stem
GT Megabite tires (another fave)

Scored this two weeks ago on CL for $50!

I always read about such and such scoring a cool classic bike for $25-$50 and I thought I would never score such a cool bike for that much, let alone a Standard. But here it is thank God! Not much Standards in the 808 and I think i'm the only one currently riding one. It has quickly become my daily ride in my hood and my practice bike at the track. I just changed out the tires(Kenda SB eights), stem(50mm) and put on a new ACS chain to make it more track friendly. I really like this bike, so much so that i'm seriously considering getting a modern 125R for racing.

Standard 125 Motocross(1998??)
S&M Slam bars
Sun Ringle Bazooka 40mm stem
Standard STA forks
Profile Whippit chainring
Redline 180mm cranks
Primo Tenderizer 4 hole pedals
Araya chrome Super 7X rims 48h
Atomic Industries F/F hubs
Odyssey seat
DK seat post
Specialized Spanky tires

The bike frame has a few medium and small scratches here and there, and the fork and cranks has some rust/pitting on the chrome but nothing too bad. The Arayas has some pitting too. Overall it's in great condition. Planning to do a Oxalic acid bath for the cranks and fork soon.
