It's not done and probably won't be when y'all get here, but I drove by it today and thought of the VBMXers. I don't check in here very often, so somebody may have already posted on this. This new park is just south of the Clock Tower, about 1/2 mile down Bell Scool rd. I beleive it is in a public park, but it may be part of the boy's club located nearby. I hollered over to the guys working on it and asked if they were going to let bikes in, and they replied that it was for skateboards, but the bike issue had been discussed and that there would be no fence and probably no way to keep bikes out. Whoops! It is up by the entrance to Elliot golf course. I actually meant to call it Mill rd. I just looked it up, and it's actually on Slater dr. (never heard of it). Slater connects Lyford and Mill. What a joke. If your at the Clock tower, you want to go south on Lyford. The skate park is by the golf course.

Oooops, dont feel too bad I called it Mcfarland instead of Mill.

Oh man...I hope that is done in time. Who's up for a midnight session?

I was talking to the bros at the bike shop about this place last night, sounds like its going to make our current skate park look like kiddy town. And they also said bikes will be allowed.

Fellas I think its done, a friend of mine drove past it last night and said there were a couple of kids skating it, and one guy with a bike riding it. Im going to drive past there tonight and check this out.

Well fellas, I myself have'nt seen it yet, but I heard the homeys talking about it again and it sounds like this place is the shizzle. Two ten foot quarters and a box jump with the same transition on both sides so your gonna have to nose dive it! The only beef I heard is there is no spine jump.

That place looks sick... Close to Clock tower too.... Man, friday this is the place to be.....

We'll be rolling into Rockford late friday aft. Probably too late to hit the "official" skatepark session. Kind of bummed about that.
But with this new park looking to be a short pedal from the Clocktower, I look forward to getting some riding in with y'all!

Ed and I pulled in to the Clock Tower last night at 6, and after we unloaded our stuff I hopped on my bike and rode down there. The park was definitely built with skaters in mind, but it's got some fun stuff for bikes. There's a huge quarter with a big deck on top, a bunch of cool ledges and grindboxes, and a roller set that's pretty fun. I did not try to jump the box jump yet...I'll save that for tonite when I've got someone there to call 911 for me.
It's about 3 minutes from the Clock Tower by bike, you go right on Lyford and it's behind the ball fields and the Boy's Club.

That park has made me decide that I am going to try to ride ramps again. Not sure how I'm going to go about it but it's too close to home not to try.

It was definitely easier to ride with a little daylight!
