Saw 2 Rebel racing new school rides at the local race today. One aluminum and one chromoly. A local guy has the rights to it now. Weston Pope was riding the aluminum version and the owner had a chromoly one.
He said he didn't have a website but was on myspace under rebelbmx.
They were sweet frames.

Looks nice, but I have to ask: Are those prototype Profile cranks? Why do they look like the have pinch bolts?

They didn't have pinchbolts, the end of the tube was capped instead of wrapped. If that makes sense.

It's a good story and interesting to hear and I'm glad you posted this.
I'm wondering if they are gonna do something interesting though? They were just seeing if they could build decent frames I guess, to this point.
They are gonna need something different. You need more than decals to stand out. They need to be really light, really good looking or both.
Interesting.

What are the details? Are these the only two currently in existance? I saw another thread about a raffle for a frame (Mini, Junior, Expert, or Pro). Can we get some dimensions/specs on the four frame sizes? What about price and availability? Where are they made? As Lonewolf stated, what makes the Rebel frame unique/worthy of my interest and coin?
Info please...

Steve,
Thanks for all the great stuff you said about Rebel, i appreciate anyone and everyone who is willing to spread the word. I have worked on the frame Geometry for about 2 years now and gone through alot of changes and proto types. I have also put alot of effort and thought into the Look and Design of the Rebel Jersey and logo. I would have posted the link to myspace but the last time i did Mike Carruth edited it.
to answer questions about the Frames, i do have Aluminum Mini, JR< ex and pro sizes available, also i am in the works of have a cruiser made as well.
Right now there are only 2 Chrom Frames that have been made, if i get more interest in the Cromo i will have them made. But right now the Market is Aluminum.
As far as Rebel Standing out, i think the fact that Weston Pope loves riding his frame and got his First Pro win on a Rebel Frame says alot.
I am not looking to be a mass producer of frames, i am in it for the Rider, by having smaller batches of frames means better QUALITY and this is an AMERICAN made frame.
The frame is not flashy by any means, but the Geometry Works and wins, as Weston has proved
If anyone needs to contact me please visit myspace i have more info posted there

I like it!! 3lbs. for a pro sized frame puts it in elite company of bmx's lightest frames. The low profile frame design tickles the Patterson fan in me...good job man. I am in the market right now, your frame just bumped into the top three...I'd like to know, whats the chain stay length and price. Thanks!!

Thank you all for the Attention Rebel is generating thus far, I still have my Original Rebel, and i am currently in the process of getting it restored. So one day soon i hope to be able to Race the Old Skool races on it as well as racing the New Rebel.
To answer the question of the chainstay, Slammed is 14 with an 1.5 inch extension.
Also my first batches are selling for $260 a frame plus shipping, and that is what it cost me to have the frames made. But once i have the next batches made they will be selling for $300

What do you need, between Tim and myself we might have what you need. Also, check with Greg Bott at the track, he for sure probably can help you.
I would be interested in a cro-mo frame if you are gonna make any more. A black one.

I just talked to Animal Paintball, They produced the Rebel Jersey for me, if anyone wants to order, you can call them directly or order online.
All you have to do when ordering is specify that it is a BMX Jersey, with the team name of Rebel BMX Racing. Under Special instructions list the jersey as a re-order and also what name you want on the back of your Jersey.
If you order a single jersey, the cost will be $65 per jersey plus shipping, but they do offer discounts on a minimal order of 3 jerseys you can get 3 for $179.84. So if a group of at least 3 wanted to order then it would be worth it.
As far as Number plates go, if you want one you will have to PM or E-Mail me so i can pass along the info for my plate guy

Well, the guy is honest, Huh? I don't know how good of an idea it is to inform the world of your cost and take.
I love the frames and I love your effort. How about a St. Andrew's cross rear brake bridge as an option? Upper seat stay gusset?
At $300, only making $40 per copy may not pay the light bill, but it will sell more frames than you probably want to deal with. A good start, but make sure you get your fair share.
I wish you much success.

Once John informs me of the shipping prices to Australia, I am ordering one for my 20" race bike. The geometry specs look great for my style of riding.
If it goes well, I might even look at replacing the Kuwahara Laserlite Pro 24 frame with a Rebel!

DO it, I was one of the first to get a aluminum cruiser frame. I am close to having my ride ready. John's a good guy. He has answered every one of my questions. I like to believe that I make purchases that will last and serve its intended need with the addition of what does everyone else not have. BITD I was the only one in MN that I ever saw that had a Rebel and when I moved on to a Patterson 20" & 24" same thing. But you could look around and see an ocean of Redlines & GT's
As far as people saying they do not have the money to spare. I disagree. I believe people just do not know the brand from BITD very well and do not know the brand today. Not everyone rode a Rebel then and not everyone will be riding one now. Sign up one pro racer or amatuer and he/she wins a few times and guess what all of the sudden people take notice of the brand.
You all can disagree with me but look at what some of you have paid for New Hutch pedals, cranks and stems---Yeah BUSTED!(and
