I've been out of BMX for a little over a decade and after a recent visit to the local track in Richmond VA—nice job on the track and the new trails by the way—I'm looking to get back in the game. After visiting some of the LBSs, none of those guys carry race bikes, only juvenile twenties. Now I use to rock an ELF back in the day, but since it's been a while and I'm sure there has been some changes in geometries, where do I go in Richmond VA to test ride bikes? I need some help deciding if I should go with a twenty or graduate to a big boy bike.

Try your local track. Not everyone, but some will let you try their bikes. I know I have no problem letting someone try out my bike on the track. A lot has to do with your height and weight too. This place has a lot of great info and recommendations too.

Everyone at my track is super cool about letting you ride bikes! Also check out the best racer build thread, and the best complete bikes thread. Lots of info and pictures!
