I'm restoring a 1983 Quad. I have a Elf laidback seat post. Does anyone know what year they started producing the Elf laidback seat post?

I don't exactly know whenElf starting making laid baid posts, but I don't remember seeing one till about 1987.

A lot of people get caught up in making period correct builds and tribute bikes. Most of these people enter them in contests, but if it's going to be a daily rider, do whatever you want. I have always had a mix of perts on my bikes over the years, but I ride them, not show them. They're too dirty for showing anyhow.
