I remember my Diamondback dealer telling me that deal about the Franko decal. I called a friend today and ask him about his bike, which indeed has a decal on the seat stays between the seat tube and the brakes. It says Franko and has two arms full of muscles. I`m no expert on the topic, but I just remember asking about it back then. Lonewolf......hope you enjoyed the PM.

I sure did.
When are you posting pics of the 20" frame you are gonna sell me? I would really like to have it.
Here's the deal:
Know the Turbo I did? Gonna do another one. An RM20 and I wanna see McPherson's signature so I can make it into a sticker for my next SERIOUS project.
It will stay as an RM 20.
This has nothing to do with the frame you will sell me. I already have one planned for the conversion.
Send or post pics bro!

I`ll tell you what I`ll do just for you..... since you almost wanted to tell me I was full of it on the Franko thing....but you did`nt..... I will dig those frames out and take some pics, email them to you so you can drool your arse off. I don`t think I really want to sell those frames... but I also have an 2001 RM20 which was my race bike until I built the Standard ,that I might think about letting loose of just in case you know anybody wanting one. It may take me a few days for the pics, but they will come.

Well, I am surprized about the Franco thing. Never heard about it before. Are there any Articles online about this subject? Also, I been searching ebay for a replacement seat for this bike. Does anyboy know where I can find one. I would like to put the same kind back on this bike.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I would be interested in looking at any 20" RM frame you might be selling. When you are bored with your signed one, you know it will go into appreciative and appreciating hands.
Waiting on your pics. Send pics of both the 20"s I don't play cruiser, but you can send them as well.

I will try to source the website. and post a link. It's not a history, just a glimpse into the life of a sponsored Diamondback racer from France.
It's really cool and goes over his entire race career. Lot's of Diamondback stuff.
On the seat, just comb craigslist and Ebay for diamondback seats. Good luck with it.

Ok, I added some Yellow Primo Handle grips. Still researching brakes, and thinking about Yellow tires. Are colored tires popular? What kind of tires are good for street, and maybe dirt. Opinions are welcome....

Nice Viper.
I ran into a set of Diamondback 20X1.5 Turbo Lite rims during my recent move that need to be re-chromed if anyone needs/wants them for their DB build.

This proves that the decal's make the bike!
Only thing missing is a gold diamond decal where the top & bottom tube meet to represent the old stamped out ones!
Picture below just for example.

Nice Pics. I finally got a seat. Yellow as Hell. Thinking of the chrome now. Is there any real good place I can get it repaired?

Just picked this one up the other day. it has new alex wheels, tioga power block tires, profile pedals, sprocket, poverty cranks, new chain, tioga stem, etc. I've got around 90 bucks in the whole thing as it sits. It's my first 24 in. At 37 years old, 5-9, 200lbs, I wish I would have made this step years ago. I'm already looking for another one. Even considering finding a track that has the old fat guy division and start racing on weekends.

Thats the same seat I had originally. Was lookin for the same to replace it, but cant seem to find one. Looks like a nice ride.
