Absolutely!
Quite a few people over on OS said they'll be riding too. Sounds like it's gonna be a good turn out.

I don't see why not, as long as you think he can hack the hills in Central Park.
Oh, there is also a naked bike ride going on that day. Some kind of environmental awareness thing or something, but there's supposed to be a lot of naked people on bikes. Not sure if you'd want him to see that or not.

Wasn't sure if guys were joking or not about the naked bike ride. That might traumatize him - actually he'd be pointing and laughing. Maybe not a a good idea. Me, on the other hand I'd like to see some hot girls (probably not going to any hot girls there) riding a mountain bike.
As for keeping up, my son should not have a problem with that since all he does race and ride bikes during his free time.
I may try to make this one. Anybody from S. Jersey going up?
Why is it the same weekend as Rockford??????????????Last year Kevin Robinson set the world record air in Central Park in New York City the same weekend as Rockford again!!!...I live a 2.5 hour drive to New York City and I missed out last year being in Rockford and will be in Rockford this year as well....Why that weekend????I would love to go to that too....

I've never been to Rockford, and I don't think the other guys who helped pound out the date were planning to go this year either. I didn't know what the Rockford date was. We were trying to get something in before the 4th of July. Hopefully we'll be doing more than one ride this year.
