Cool idea, but I learned long ago not to reward my kids for winning. It just makes the disapointment of not winning that much harder.
If I feel my kids tried their best, then the rewards will come.
I've learned that and the "reward" system is being phased out. One kid my son races all the time tried to bribe my son into letting him win - unbelievable. The kid told my son that he'd give him a finger bike. The gate went down and my son rolled out and was in last. I'm watching and I don't what is going on. I then see him start cranking after the first turn, catch up to the pack and come in 3rd. After the race, he told me about the deal and how he changed his mind about the "deal" midway through the race. Unbelievable!!!!

What a total waste of my hard earned money these are! I'm gunna get mad if they make any more cool bikes I'm forced to spend my money on.
Where are the yellow/gold parts, btw? And it's lame that there are almost but not quite two completes in the bike shops.

My son and I just picked up the yellow GT and the red TS. I noticed on the back of thoses packages they had all of the names of the bikes that are out/coming out, and noticed CW, Haro, and Redline on there. Anyone know if those will be retro versions?? Obviously the CW will be, but I'm wondering about Haro? How cool would that be if they did a retro Master or Freestyler? The Redline is written in the old school race letters so I'm guessing it may be a retro race bike? Love to see an RL-20II though! I'll tell ya what, Flick Trix has to be really happy with the turn out of these things because they are selling like crazy by me! The one Wal-Mart I went to when these first hit the shelves is already sold out! Not even a shelf tag anymore! And they were loaded with them in the beginning. All the other stores have only one or two left. We stopped in a K-Mart yesterday and found a stash of empty packages where someone ripped them off. I think one of them was the pink TS we've been looking for! We also stopped at Toys R Us and saw a little kid, about 8, grabbing a few of them with his grandpa. Obviously he just liked them because they looked cool. Hmm...Kids buying biks because they look cool...Wonder if the real bike companies ever thought of that??...lol

Another funny observation, The ones that are selling first are the retro ones. I still see alot of the new school ones left, and they are $4 cheaper!

Has anyone else seen the Flick Trix commercial on TV yet? I saw it last night, and thanks to Tivo, I went thru it on slow/pause. There is a shot where they show a huge assortment of bikes.
None of the bikes have stickers on them.
As I paused/slo-mo'd thru this scene, I'm positive I saw a yellow bike with a 'wrap around' top tube. The yellow was darker than the other yellows offered..... RL20II maybe.
I also saw what looked like a tan Quadangle, but the manufacturers logos started to cover it up, and the scene changed, so I'm not 100% positive. The headtube/toptube/downtube junction sure looked different than the other frames.
There was some other green bikes, but it was too hard to see if any might have been a Master.
BTW, my wife just shook her head when I kept rewinding and slowmo-ing trying to figure it out. I knew she wouldn't understand.

Too funny! lol. My son did the exact same thing! Only he was comparing the new commercial to the one that aired back in June (he still had that one recorded too, lol) But I think u may be right about the RL-20II, Quad, and green Master. I can definately see them doing a hazzard yellow RL and green Master.

Nick, check out Nemo's post above - looks like they do have a mongoose with motomags.
Now the sidehack would be very cool...

Yup, the Mongoose in the latest assortment has motomags.
Pretty cool!
Considering the scale, these bikes are really well done.
They seem to be selling quite well, also. Much better than the NS bikes, although they seem to be moving pretty well, too.

Yea, These things really do add up fast! I went to the stores in my area and haven't seen any of the new ones pop up yet. But I did see alot of the first assortment on the shelves. So I'm guessing this new assortment just hasn't gotten to Ohio yet? One thing I'm still seeing though is the old school bikes are selling ALOT faster than the new school ones!
