I used to ride an aussie made roadie when I was 12. I eventually got into bmx and sold the roadie. FF to 1988 and I lost my lisence for 3 years (don't ask) and bought another Malvern Star roadie. I left it at my old house 3 years ago and have been looking for something cool.
I didn't go looking for a bike today but rather a lawnmower. I never found the mower but they had this sitting there. For $15 I couldn't say no.
Frame is a Viner from about 1980 I guess, maybe older. I have no idea really. All I know is they are Italian and handmade.
Wheels are aussie made Velocity with unknown hubs. Looking for Campys now!
brakes are Suntour superb and gearing is a mix of older Shimano and newer Deore (?).
Either way it'll make riding to work a lot nicer.
