I was just wondering how accessible Stu will be at the dinner on Saturday night? Will he be available for autographs and photographs before or after dinner, or his speech? And if so if is there a limit on how many items he can sign or number or photos you can get with him?
Bill Curtin
Stu will be surrounded by an escort of 8 burly, fedora wearing, crooked nose types, and all of them will be packing heat. If you approach him with more than forty-seven old school items to be signed, you might end up in a dumpster wearing cement overshoes.

Otherwise, just walk up to the guy and say hello. Remember to be polite like your mother taught you!

Can I be one of the 8 burly escorts?

I'll talk to Stu about this question. We want people to be able to meet and greet and get that old Redline hat, or SE STR pad signed. but we do not want someone with a bunch of items who is going to go immediately up to the room and post them on eBay.

I'm sure everyone understands that.

Remember STU is a pretty good sized guy. Also, isn't he a Sheriff or something like that?

Mike, I have one of Stu's old Redline Jersey's, that he gave me back in 1985 or 1986 at South Park In Pittsburg, that I would like to have him sign.

Even though I got rid of a large majority of anything related to BMX (and totally regret it now that I am back into it) I held onto to this jersey. It has been hanging on a hanger in my closet for all of these years.

I have told everybody who will listen, If Stu is willing to sign the jersey, I am going to have framed and it will hang in my office or house. I personally don't believe in selling my memoribilia and can't stand when I see a "seller" standing in line to meet sports stars/movie stars/musicians etc. just so they can sell their autograph. But I completely understand if Stu would have his doubts about signing something for somebody because those people trying to get rich off someone elses name have ruined it for fans and collectors like myself.

Thanks for checking with him and I look forward to hearing back with his response.
Scott

I don't have a problem signing things. If it shows up at acution somewhere there isn't much I can do about it. Just respect my reluctance to sign more then a couple items per person. I look forward to seeing you all and am truly honored. PS, the miss's will be with me and she can more then take care of any unruly subjects. My riding/practice has been limited but still plan on racing what ever age group I fall into for the cruiser class. My bike will still be raffled off and monies will be donated to prostate cancer research.

Great, thanks for responding Stu!!! I can't wait for the banquet and to hear your stories. And I can assure you that once that jersey is signed you will "never" see it for sale. I collect for myself as a fan and collector of O/S BMX, not to make money!!!!!
