The 2nd Annual Kovachi Wheels, HRPdesigns, and Clayborn Vintage BMX Bike Show, in association with VintageBMX.com, Cobb County BMX, and the ABA, will take place May 16th. This show was a huge success last year and we look to have more display their cool Vintage BMX products.

The set up will begin at 9 a.m. and the show will open at 11 a.m. Then the judging and cook out will take place at 4 p.m.. So, make your plans to come out and watch and/or race one of the best ABA races in the Southeast, the ABA Dixieland Nationals and then be a part of the South's own Vintage BMX Bike Show.

Awards will be given to "Best in the Era", "Best Overall", and many more levels. For more information, you can contact, John Kovachi, Stuart Harrison, or Richard Bunt.

Thes best part is come out and hang out with BMX friends and get to see some of the best classic Vintage BMX Bikes in the world, plus a free cook out, so make those plans and we look forward to seeing everyone at the 2nd Annual Vintage BMX Bike Show!

Well, I have finally uploaded my photos of the event and a link is posted below. 2009 Dixieland Vintage Show

First let me, as a sponsor and helper in the organization of the event, let me apologize for not having the cookout. It was a tough call but one that was made in the best interest of everyone there with the information we had at the time. We looked at the radar and after the three hours of rain earlier in the day, the huge green blob sitting to the southwest of the track did not look like it would have been too fun to hang out in. So we made the call to drop the cookout and let everyone get packed up and hopefully avoid the rain, that at the time looked like it was heading our way.

Fortunately, the rain did not make it up to the track for several more hours, but hopefully the event was good none the less. If you were just there for the food I sure hope you can forgive us, we did what we thought was right.

I was overwhelmed by the turnout for the show, this is only our second year of doing it and I think it tripled in size and amount of rides on display. So much so that we actually added two categories and winners on the fly because there were some really great bikes out there.

Thanks to all who brought their bikes out and hopefully next year we can make it even bigger and actually get to cook.

here are the winners:
Best Freestyle - (New Category)

Most Original -

Best 90's -

Best in Show -

Best 80's -

Best Cruiser - (New Category)

Best 70's -

This was my first time ever attending or entering a BMX event since the '80s and it was awesome! Thanks to the organizers.
I found out about it Friday night thru the Craigs List posting, my daughter and I spent the morning cleaning up my old HYPER race bike and frame & fork set. I didn't even know if we would be allowed to enter since we were so late getting there. Everyone we met was very cool and helpfull, and I think my 12yr old may even be interested in racing.
Looking foreward to next year.
