Hello,
I have a Redline frame that I am trying to ID. The frame is all chrome with a 5 digit serial number on the bottom and a redline oval stamp. I was informed that it is a early 80's PL20. Any help with this would be awesome!!!

Pretty much. You can google Redline serial numbers and get the probable year.

with those details it would be Japanese made, mid 1982 thru early 1985 (approx).
