Whats the deal with these tires being soooo hard to find, i have been looking for a nos set with a even coloured gumwall, and no luck. It seems that alot of haros were released with these tires after 87 but were are they all now???

Iv had a few pairs of these, but they do seem impossible to find now, I don't know why either, maybe they came out while BMX was not very popular & only for a short time sad.gif

This Nos pair were on my 88 Master...

Maybe they made them for only a short time as other Haro tires were available and more popular. Just by luck some 5 years ago I got a used set for my 87 Master, but then only seen less then a hand full of pairs pop up here and there. I remember seeing an NOS pair on the bay that went for some good dollars. All I can say is good luck on your search! Finding a set will be a challenge, but when you do... you'll feel like you are on top of the world and can't wait to get them in your grasp!
By the way nice Haro Masters guys!

I'm not familiar with these tires, does anyone have a better pic of the tread pattern?

Jay here is a link to some pics of a haro with them. Not the best pics but a couple seem to show the tread pretty well.

Here you go cool.gif

Just wanted to chime in to tell you that the correct tires for an 88 Team Master are the HPF style, not the HPM.

HPM look like regular tires, while HPF are almost slick. HPF are really impossible to find dry.gif

Cheers,

Laurent

My 88 Master came out of the box with pure slick tires, no tread patern at all. Anyone seen those before?

the only gumwall slick i can remember is the Comp Pool, which is difficult to locate in black gumwall these days as well

These were definitely HARO tires. I think the 89 catalog shows them in the parts section. I just don't understand why mine came with those instead of Multisurfaces like everyone elses complete did. Maybe they were out of them when my bike was partially assembled at the factory...

I scored a tip from a fellow down under BMXer who said he used a greasy yellow substance secreted by the sebaceous glands of wool-bearing animals...

aka = Lanolin.

Works amazing! (also brought back a few dry rotted tires as well)

Cool thanks mate will give it a shot, so im guessing you just apply it with a cloth?
