I got my boy some of the ones with the wavy line down the side.
I can't remember the style number but they are the same as the ones from BITD but instead of laces they have velcro.
Very cool but he's grown out of them (he's 2 now).

He looks ready to ride now sportn the slip ons.Got the grandson some in vegas a couple weeks ago.

My 7 Year old boy has been wearing slip on vans for years now! My 5 year daughter is now just starting and has a pair of Pink check vans that she just loves.
I may have told this story, but I have been wearing Vans almost continuously since 1979. I must say this was a very unusual thing in suburban Chicago, but when Fast Times came out I had instant Cred, since I had been wearing black & white checkered slip ons for years!
A couple of years ago I was in a restaurant and a young woman complimented me on my Vans. She was wearing the same ones! I said thanks and that I liked hers too. Then I thought about it and told her I have been wearing Vans since before she was born! She said she was 17. I paused and did a little math in my head - that meant she was born in 1990! I then told her I have been wearing vans a lot longer than that.
They really are timeless. I was out in So Cal for a few days during spring break. I took the kids to Disneyland and to the beach in Hermosa Beach. I was amazed at how common Vans are out there.
