Lone looking like Mikey King pedaling out of that berm!,,,nice pic.........how old were you in '86?, I didnt make it to gonzales, but did hit a few of our other LA tracks. Did you ever race this chick in my photo? I'll be a man and admit, she smoked me in MS., at sugarmill, boy it was strange getting elbowed in the first turn by a chic,,,later became 2 time national #1 girl pro, Gabi Bayhi

,,,this pic is of her clearing 1st straight doubles at the Murray World Cup, '86?,,,

I knew Gabby, at least that's how I spell it. She used to have "miscellaneous" on her butt because she always had to race guys. She was a few years older than I was and she was racing when I started. I have some pictures of her on a parade lap in Gretna.
I was 14 years old in the photo. This is when 14year olds were
men and raced pro sized bikes. Notice how fully developed I look? LOL. I'm probably no older than the littler kids behind me. My front wheel was always coming up. That's just how I peadled. I pulled my wheel up about every 4th or 5th pedal stroke. Know who taught me that?
A girl named Cherri Elliot when she raced for Skyway. Chicks can throw it down.
Mike King had a tremendous influence on me. He was the "race style" king. For you to say that about the photo (that I resemble him racing) is about the nicest thing anyone could say.
I couldn't hold a candle to him.
