Hello Gentlemen -

I am looking to buy another PK Ripper but I'm concerned about how they are made these days via SE Bikes. From the limited material I've read, SE Bikes is now owned by a huge Japanese or Taiwan bicycle company, manufacturing thousands of Bikes per year. I bought my former Ripper in 92 direct from the little SE Racing warehouse in San Pedro California. I'd prefer buy a used Ripper and restore it so long the welds are still top notch.

I'm checking ebay and Craig's List and so far people are asking $500+ for just the frames.

What Year PK are you looking for? OK What Generation? You Can Still Buy Direct From SE? Todd Lyons Runs it, They Built Good Products? Look In the retro section that may help.

I'm lookinjg to buy 1980s or early 90s Ripper, good or bad condition, but welds must be great. I can deal with re-painting. I want a polished frame with polished landing gear forks. Willing to pay premium. Where to look? Ebay? Craig's?

Ray, I may Sell my 90-93 I don't have a photo of it right now but it is Unreal! I sold it to a Guy on here Named Brian Hays he owned it for Two Years and then sold it back to me, If You Know Brian ask him about it he will tell you it was one of the nicest PK's he ever had and he has had over 50. It's Fully Polished To a Mirror Finish, Mint Chrome LG, 10" Black SE Powerwing Bars, New Tuff Wheel II's sealed Bearnings,Profile Stem,Pitbull Brakes,Uni Seat/post, Cranks and Pedals are New School Redline. Let Me Get A Photo of it and I'll post it.
