Interesting high-end frame round-up article from the June 1991 (yes, '91) issue of BMX Plus!

Notice that the classic 80's look Profile Champ is featured- does anyone remember that you you could buy most of the classic Profile products (cranks & hubs included) WELL into the 90's?!?!?

Makes me wonder when alot of the "old" school Profile stuff you see was actually made. Maybe it's really mid-school!

They also list a Champ Pro XL model, wonder how long those were. That would be a killer ride... anybody got an XL?



XL model listed- do the logos on the decals look slightly different from the earlier ones???

the desighns stayed the same for a few years back then..all the companies produced so manny.. they would spill into the next year.

The first Profile frame & fork i remember a dude that hung around had around '83-"84. The hubs were already legendary, the cranks replaced those noisie Redline's (No offence) But you know what i'm talking about. Profile invented the first "state of the art" product in the industry-Those cranks & spindel. Besides my personal bike, The profile was the finest i think i ever rode, and what a jumper. we've rebuilt a few bikes this past spring, all given away to rightfull owners or kids. Besides the Patterson and a "P.K Ripper" there's only one other frame i want- Profile Champ!!!!!!
