i know this leaves out most of the greatest more obscure stuff like VDC and such, but there's still gotta be one you imagine having in your collection.
my fav is most obvious, Hutch Pro Racer complete with aerospeeds lol.
but, the problem with that is lack of color...what about a nicely colored GT Pro Series team or something? then when the Haro racers came upon the scene they had such fresh design.

Ask Kos what his favorite 20" bike was. He'd probably say a cruiser. I'd sell the 20" and get a cruiser any day.

Pro Star or Carerra. You could race right off the showroom floor. They were just dialed in.

CBR probably didn't sell a complete at the time...but if they did, well...
To be honest, completes were never much on my radar, I always built
from the frameset up.
That said, what wouold I like to have today? Champ Pro with 1st gen Box
and og hubs and og horseshoes and og lockjaw etc etc....
Just as it was tested in BMXA.

like i said, i know it leaves out too many of the best kinds of build-up bikes you could have bought BITD, but I'm asking about complete BOX BIKES only in 20".
let's have some pictures of ads to back them up. then i will use the pictures of the best ones to do a poll...a poll on the top dog out-of-the-box complete bike that you could have bought in the 80's. i shouldn't have initially limited to the years 81-85...so we'll do this for ALL of the 80's with only that limitation. a lot of ppl. try to say mid-school starts at 1986, but i do not agree...to me midschool starts in '89/'90 when rider owned company's truely took over as the best and most popular bikes for us riders... and not just the start of the major slump in sales of the big company's and $$ available in the pro winnings in all facets of riding bmx....that was just the strat that paved the way for the rider owned companys to make their way. but anyways, thats a whole nother debatable topic, so let's just include all of the 80's for this and enjoy! there was some very nice completes from several brands BITD!
