i have some old 3 piece sugino maxy 152 cranks that i want to use for my boys pit bike. the chrome is flaky and peeling. my cousin has a blast cabinet so i could glass, media blast, alum. oxide, whatever, but id rather avoid that, because i would like to keep them smooth. also there is a small logo in them that says maxy id never be able to sand out. so id like to try something else without the cancer risks as i want to be alive to go for a ride with him. i have pics of them also if that helps. thanks greg any suggestions???

I accidently left some cranks soaking in vinegar for a couple days. No more chrome, but they looked aweful. Not sure what look you're going for.
