Here are a couple of old polaroid shots from 1980.
The first is my Race Inc:

And here is my GJS:

Comp II redwalls
Cook Bros stem
Robinson forks
Cook Bros seat post
Maxy cranks
Bullseye hubs
Haro lightning bolt plate
Cook Bros bars
Oakley grips
Kashimax seat
Araya 7c rims
Apparently, this frame was found and restored in blue. That news came to me several years ago.

NICE!
The idea of trying to find redwall Comp IIs to do a replica terrifies me!

I gave up on the idea of building a replica some time ago.
The redwalls was possibly the biggest issue. Finding any Comp II of this era is a near impossible task. The redwalls takes it over the top.
And, they would have to be Comp IIs - those were my favorite tires.
Everything else is not nearly as impossible to find.

Nice rides. You got pics of the GTV floating around here? I am rebuilding a 71 and have a series 3 spider for my daily...

My current GJS, which has gone through a few changes for the *way* better since the photos:

I will be taking new photos when I get the chance.

Wait, don't tell me. I think I know this one.
It's a 1966 Alfa gtv.
Am I right?

Is it me, or were the colored Comp tires made from a softer rubber compound from the balack ones? Always seem to remember a lot of bald coloured Comps on friends bikes. I stuck with the black!
Super nice GJS and expert Race Inc though.
Love GJS's - not sure I've even seen one in reality. Don't think many made it across the pond BITD.
