I'm diggin' it because it already has an 'O' and a 'W'. All I need is and 'E' and a "N" and then it would be perfect. It's really hard to find Owen things in the US. Then I would lie to little kids and tell them I made it during metal shop class in jr. high.

Wow

Is it fairly Heavy? Mild Steel? By the Looks of the Head tube...it looks like a Late 1970's to 1980's Royce Union BMX Frame made to Look like the 1st Gen Mongoose, The head tube has the Recess for that Huge Badge Royce Union used in the 70's and 80's, But the bottom bracket? Is that a small diameter bottom bracket? Think Royce Union used a strap type clamp for there Nasty Coaster brakes too, So that could be why theres no flange slot for Kidde brakes they over used...just tossing my two cents in...Sure would like to know Just HOW HEAVY is it? LOL
Strip It and Powder Coat it or Tie a Chain and Toss it OverBoard J/K

It is pretty heavy i would guess about 6 or 7lbs and no brake tabs for the coaster brake, no place to a headtube badge... it would make a good boat ancor

The W looks like a Jammin Jimmy Weinert, but I am not sure if they were lugged or had that style of dropouts
MyBike1

I'm guessing it's a scorpion.
I had one in 83'.
it was lugged the same.
The dropouts look the same.
I don't know what to say about the o and w gusset thingy,
mine didn't have that.
Everything else looks like how I remember it.

That's actually an "M" on the gusset.
I'm going to agree with cornfed, Malvern Star. It is very similar to a Scorpion, however the angling of the lugging is a bit different than chadissexy's frame.

Motobecane?

Looks imported to me.
Kurt.
Mar 17 2009, 02:45 PM
Naah - Malvern Star's didn't have a gusset like that. They did have two drilled holes on the head tube where the star was mounted though.

I can tell you it isn't a Malvern Star like Kurt said BUT it has the same lugs and dropouts as one. They were made for a whole bunch of different companies. Like Scorpion, Malvern Star and this frame from Australia too, the Fatrax.

somebody out there made frames like that then stickered them with cycle pro and scorpion, etc. The only difference is the gussett. I am thinking it is centurian maybe, who made them. probably Japan.

One of these has been posted before a few years ago and my first thought was Motobecane when I saw this one so I think there might be something to that.

I think it is called a Moxi. Not sure if that is the model or company name. I think my buddy had one.

I guessed Motobecane because that is their trademark "M". This Motobecane frame on ebay solidifies it for me...
"M"Gussets were easy to change to keep a fresh look but, otherwise it appears identical.
Based on the price you oughta be able to retire early too....good snag!

Yup, that frame looks awful familiar... although, the price!?... Ha ha ha ha ha ha.
That seems just a little (cough..cough) high priced to me. If It sells for that much,
I'll poop myself.

The Moxies were models of Matthews/LRV bikes...both hardtail and monoshocks. Some Moxie gussets have an "M" but not like that one, they are like the Matthews logo.
