I am planning a get-together for us. Nothing fancy, just a day out with the guys,wifes,kids at a local bmx track. No trophies, awards. or anything like that. Just BMX,friends,food and hopefully some fun for those that can make it.I have secured the date with the track operator and we will be allowed to ride the track. Just sign a waiver releasing the track, it's operators and such from liability.Helmet, long sleeves and long pants are a must.

Menu:
Fried Chicken, Burgers, Brats or Dogs, 2 or 3 Salads, Baked Beans, Chips and Sodas. No frills menu.

I may need a couple of coolers to use for the day.

Planning on attending with my daughter as of now. Uncertan of work cituation right now.

If I can sell some of my stuff, I hope pick up and break in the new beater!! Could be scary. (for the bike!)

Glad to see such a big responce to this, I have had a few e-mails of interest from non members that are coming.

The track is glad to have everyone and apprechiate the support for the feb. show.

The track will be open to ride ,good music ,good food, good people makes for an awesome day !

Track is wet wet wet ... Im dying to get out there to start something...

I did how ever meet with the excivator sunday we are getting a whole drainage system put in next week rain or shine. Im hopeing to be open for april 19th racing. If you have any time off work and its sunny out give me a call all help is needed.

Barring any unforseen circumstances My girls and I will be there.. should be a great time!

So, will the track be open to ride/play on... or is there official racing/practice that day?

The track is closed to the public on saturdays, Nick is renting it out for the day.

So as far as i know the track is open to ride per his party -get together.

The track will be in rideable shape by then. We can get the gate going too.

That's cool James.I know what it's like to have commitments.

OK guys...I need a few things, maybe a few of you locals could help.

i will be needing a few,2-3 Medium to Big coolers for drinks. Possibly a BBQ grill either propane or charcoal would be a big help.
Also, if you could bring a dish or something in case we run short of food. Just in case..

All right the track has a bawls drink cooler thats real big and i have 3 medium sized ones i will bring and im going to bring my gas grill so we should be covered there.

We have pleanty of picnic tables but not a lot of shade so if its hot and sunny bring an easy up.

Nothing definite, but I just might be able to make this. I'd be great to ride around a track again. I missed all last year due to my work schedule and the new track schedule out here.

Hey Jayb-- I'm bringin' an '82 Team Murray X24 frame, fork, and bars all chrome. Includes all pads in good condition. Top tube length is 19". Comes witth advertising poster. Asking $300

I am also bringing a 94 Supercross SX500 decaled as a Devo 24. This frame was one of the raffle frames @ Rockford 4 years ago. It is a complete bike. Redline forks, Odyssey stem, Demolition cranks, Hoffman chainring, JP high flange hubs and Sun BFR rims, FMF v-brakes, and a Thompson seatpost. Colors are blue and white and the top tube length is 21" center to center. Hardly ridden $650.



Picked up the new bike yesterday. Can't wait to try it out!!!! 3 days.

how are the track conditions so far? with all the rain, is the irrigation system working properly?

The drainage is working awesome no standing water. The condition of the track is great, With the exception of it being wet it cant hold anymore water . Its suppost to rain here for the next 2 days.... We need some sunshine to dry it up.
If we cant ride the track we will still have good music food and friends....

Who evers looking for the 2 man gate let me know i have one i would let go for $500. If your coming to the track saturday i can bring it.

I'm going to bring these bikes and Crupi high flange hubs.

If anyone has room for a cooler, we may need it. Also, the menu may change a little, but we will be having lunch. Looking forward to seeing you guys and hopefully this will be somethnig I can do next year as well.

Tomorrow's the big day. There calling for 65 and partly cloudy. Should be a nice day.

Just got in from the track . Its in good shape and should be dry enough to ride as long as theres no more rain tonight.

Looks like opening day will be sunday .

Check engine light illuminated on the truck tonite, 5 hours of driving (accumulated), and work scheduled me to come in @ 7 pm. God hates me! I regret that I will not be able to attend. Hope to see you fellas @ Rockford!

65 south to route 2 exit turn west .
Follow route 2 thru the town of lowell.
You will go over a set of rail road tracks.
1-2 blocks after tracks turn north (right) on Nichols .
If you pass the chevy dealer you went to far.
Follow Nichols north 5-6 blocks to park on right side.
Freedom park look for the white picket fence.
