so is the difference just the sticker or what? is there a difference in geometry or significant marks on the frame? i've always known them as just a '83 GT PRO. i checked a bunch of them on the museum and it seems most people list them as a pro despite having a nora cup sticker.

The point was he just comes across so upset, why be upset, just sell the item. GT, unless im mistaken did'nt make a white Pro in 83 either and I'm pretty sure I'm correct on that. So for the guy being so detail correct about what is or what wasn't, he sure didn't put much thought into his frame restore he is trying to sell for $325. I don't know I was just bored apparently and commented on it....

weren't late 82's also nora cups?

Vonmark, Yes the late 82 also had the Nora cup decal as did the late 83 Hutch. I just asked this question about 3 weeks ago and this is what I found out. After the Noro Cup Race Was Complete The Winning Bike got to carry the Nora Cup Decal For the Following Year. That would mean that for the rest of that year they could also use the decal that is why late 82 had it and 83 did also. It was all about bragging rights and to this day some people believe there is a nora cup frame. ThereIs No Such Thing as a Noro Cup GT JUst A GT that Carries The Badge of Honor The Gt Was Able To Capture Back In it's Prime.

Rick Simpson did you read the thread or just puke on yourself, apparently we both have too much freetime as Im replieing to your statement as you did mine. I did'nt question his opinion or knowledge of the bike and GT history, I question why he feels he needs to be upset and know it allish when he is trying to sell an item on ebay to people. Thats all rick.

Yellow and white didn't appear until 84.

Speaking of mis-information......Come on. The NORA Cup (Number One Racer Award) was BMXA membership (readers) voting, NOT a particular race to be won. For years I have run into mid-schoolers that thought that NORA was a race and they continue to spread that mis-information as such.Keep in mind, as I stated in that Blue Hutch thread a few weeks ago, it was usually (if not always) the following model year of the winning bike that ran the seat tube decal. So, in Hutch's case, the decal that states "NORA Cup 1984,1985,1986" is in fact the 1987 model year bike. QUOTE (SE Mark @ Mar 15 2009, 03:50 PM)
