Ok Guys, I need some help.

Thru all of my travel's of building up my Profile Info thread, I have yet to come across any type of info on the 24" frame/fork set. I have looked over almost every BMXA mag from 80 thru 87, and BMX Plus from the same time period. One of my add's in my thread shows they make a 24" in 84, but no other info. Not even a Test, or write up.

I'm really trying to make my info thread as complete as I can, but feels very naked without any 24" info. I have a set of bars that I will soon be posting, so there's a start.

Any real info , mag scans, adverts, anything would be very helpful in making the ever elusive Profile information more available for evryone else to see, and use.

Thank You

I had a used one back in the late 80's. I honestly have no idea what year it was or any of the specs, sorry. I can tell you mine had a short wheelbase, like 35- 36" or so, it was significantly shorter than my GT Pro Series 24. I bought it from a kid who bought it from another kid. Wish I could be more helpful. I sold it at the 89 or 90 Great Northwest Nationals at River Valley. It was black and pretty light.

If you read "The Legend Of BMX" in my signature, you will see a pic of Larson Manuelito on a Profile 24". The year is 1984.

Hey Surf,

Sorry, I don't have any specs or articles handy (if any exists), but if there is a specific measurement that you need, I can probably pull my 24 out of storage and measure it for you.

LOL sca.,.,.,.,., you have one in storage, of course you do, LOL.

Coming from you, I have a better feeling that articals were never done on the 24"s, or even sales brochure's

To bad they never marked them to determain the years. Or maybe they were all the same in measurments thru the years they made them. But who knows how long they made them, before they stopped. Just as with the 20" frames sets. Not to sure when they lost the 3rd bar in their builds.

I'll have to read your link at home, that site is blocked here at work.

Surf,

I have one so let me know if you need any specific pics or measurements. I does seem smaller than my pl24 and gt24.

I scored a complete 80's 24" Profile cruiser at the end of last summer. It has Bullseye hubs...Profile cranks and redline forklifter bars. Want to get out my measuring tape?? Take more pics?? Your site was very useful to me by the way...great job!! Surf, Can you tell which Gen cranks these are on the 24?

Here is the link to the pics the day I got her and cleaned it up. It's been in storage ever since.

Looking at your pics, those are the 3rd gen cranks. In my thread, you will see a break down on all the different versions of the 3rd gen cranks. That should help you determain what you have.

If somebody really has the time, and wants to take the time, go ahead and take measurements w/ pics of all the tubing of the frame/fork set. Top tube, seatpost tube, bottom tube, headtube, chainstay tubes, fork tubes ect.

Thanks everybody for your efforts. Much love.
