Needing a little help with suggestions on sprocket for my Mongoose I'm starting. The red finish is coming off the outer ring of the sprocket, as you can see in the photo's. How could I go about refinishing it, or should I just replace it? If replacement what kinda/brand ring will fit on my crank/spider? It's a Sugino crank.

You can Lite scuff it off with a real fine grade steelwhool .....I wouldn't replace it at all ...Why just refinsh it .....That is al

Easyoff oven cleaner takes paint off just about anything, then I would just rattle can it. or buy a new one if you want a showpiece.
