anyone know a genuine 500a serial number?

the serial no. and frame and redline logo on the BB look like this:

the number on the right dropout looks like a Giant Bicycles date code (may 1984).

I have a redline like this one to. for some reason giant bike's in tawain made redline's
for a few years. i guess they had so much work they had to farm some out. not sure.
it seems to be made of good chromoly and has nice weld's though.

didn't know the Giant connection, the Gxxx serial number looked a it strange. Guess thats also why the Redline stamp on the BB is different from 500a's i've seen?

spoke to Bren, he confirmed what the other guys say..., looks like a Taiwan made F&F, from the Giant factory..
