My daughters friend shows up today on a mid skool Performer with a few nice old skool parts...It's got these wierd Bars, they have a Predator decal on them, along with a couple of Aero decals on the crossbar....they seem to be a tall bar, at least 9", and have a 2 piece CW style, except that the cross bar is V shaped and Aero tubed even at the grip area....

look to be nicely made and have a cool feel with the aero tube grip area...

Weren't they the bars that were on the Predators in the ad where the riders and bikers were in the shower, 84-85-ish? What the hell was up with that ad?
Also, either that picture is a bit blurry or I'm hammered.

If they are 84-85 they might be worth trying to grab...I offered the kid 150 for the bike thinking he'd jump at it, but he turned me down...I want it fo the white Gyro, odsy brakes, and the GT forklifter....

Yeah, those went with the Predator Aero frame/fork. I think it was about '84. Maybe a touch earlier...maybe not. I know in the spring of '85 I was working at a Schwinn shop and we had the kit there at some point that spring/summer (and maybe before that).

I found a little more info on these in the museum, they seem to be pretty rare....maybe not highly desireable, but there doesnt seem to be many around.

I dont remember them at all bitd, but they are cool and different bars...I gotta try to get'em !
