Im a newbie to the restore scene and trying to decide what to do with the two bikes I have. Im gonna re-do the predator for my brother because it was originally his and I know he would love to have it back. The dyno is purple/pink and I would love to keep the color original but the frame has stickers on it and the bars have a little bit of surface rust. Is it worth powdercoating or having them professionally painted since they are gonna be ridden a lot? Any tips or tricks that seasoned restorers have would be greatly appreciated and I'll start posting pics as soon as I can. What is a cost effective way to paint these parts without using a rattle can? Thanks guys, this site is awesome and hopefully soon I'll have two brand new old school rides.

Welcome to the site. Do whichever bike you're most inspired to build first. Take your time and read up on what others have done. Do searches and you may even find a good source for new or reproduced decals.

I don't have any personal experience with outsourcing for paint (yet). There are several site supporters that people will swear by for paint and powder coating. Ask someone in the know in your area and you might find somebody local who can do a good match for you and you can save bucks on shipping.

Let us know how you're coming along. I'd suggest documenting your projects with pictures and sharing them and you'll probably spark more responses from the more knowledgeable members here. Good luck.
