Yeah, and to think after six years, my body decided that a small curb was akin to The Great Wall of China.

It's be cool if there were some of these frames in a cruiser or (better yet) a 26" wheeled DJ-style frame. I guess one can only dream.

I wonder if the Chinese would get mad if we did wall rides on the great wall? Finally got to the back of the garage. Here's the 26" version! Mtb Crusader prototype, with sweet spot pivot, a year and half before the sweet spot pivot was available on any mtb.

Wow! That is awesome...Was that going to be marketed by Turner Drive sysetems and set up with a AWD kit? I want to stop by your garage sometime! Is that the only MTB Crusader that was made? Any more info would be awesome!

So is there a pivot in the BB area that rear end pivots on or is it just using the flex of the against the shock? I am assuming its the pivot option of course.

It pivots around the BB. The chain length stays constant, hence the "sweet spot pivot".

Thanks! No. I wasn't originally going to market this through Turner. It was made, when I still worked with PMC, before I hooked up with Turner. For some odd reason Turner was only interested in my BMX and not the MTB. Really strange considering that the AWD kit was designed for MTB! This is the one and only MTB crusader ever made. The sad thing is it's not actually rideable. The guy that made it completely built the back end wrong. It should have large box, rectangular, chainstay tubing. It has super weak, thin plate chainstays. His excuse was "I thought it would be lighter". It's soooo flexy, like a gummy bear! Charged me a ton of money and I couldn't even ride it!!! I displayed it, all built up, at the Interbike PMC booth. The following year is when a couple of MTB dealers started advertising the new "sweet spot pivot". That's about it. Oh yeah... He painted it the wrong color also. It should have matched my teal green Crusader I proto and not be mustard and ketchup!

It's not rideable. Just a wall hanger in it's current condition. If anyone is still interested in buying, the one and only Crusader MTB frame, PM me! Thanks brothas...

Man, that really sucks that he didn't build the bike to your specs...I assumed that it would be bomb-proof like your bmx stuff...I'm sure it would have been if he followed your specs...

I sent you a pm and a e-mail by the way.... cool.gif

I would most definitely be interested. Mike can have second dibs on the thing seeing as my collection needs a bit of catching up to do. biggrin.gif
