I went to a local auto swap meet today and I found this and the guy wanted $6 for this. Of couse, I HAD to buy it. I am trying to figure out the year- mid-80's- but want to know the exact year.
I plan on restoring it like the one I had in my youth.

"straight stay" version. that was the first version after the looptail. approx 1985, depending on exactly when production ran.

Wow, great find it's a 85-86 model they made them 1 year only mid 85 to mid 86. What Fork does it have? It could have 1 of 2 it was also the year they had the vertical stamped Landing Gear or it could have unstamped. The very first ones still had the looptail decals. Good Score!! Should have year in serial # this is one of the only ones that do.
