Hi all, Ive just taken delivery of my 09 lazerlite pro and wanna start mixing the old and new. Im thinking of a fat set of landing gear forks which ive seen new for £70 or about $100 inc postage. Are these the same as 20 years back? they look identical but ive heard some folks say cheap copies are about.
Secondly Im thinking of changing bars for the old GT ones or similar, any suggestions? On the new bike bars and forks are just silver and i figure if forks are gonna be chrome so should bars.
Is it worth gettin ali bars for less weight ? im mid thirties now and a bit worried about the ali being strong enough.

thanks all

Hi brizee,
your questions would be better answered in the Retro New School section.

As for new SE Landing Gear forks, they are available at COLOREDTUFFS (look to the right for advertisement link) or any SE dealer. I have heard of these bending under extreme conditions, but anything can be damaged under extreme conditions.

As for bars. I like S&M SLAM or RV bars in chrome. They are as about as close to looking old school as you can get with a bar produced today.
