I've got stickers and t-shirts to go with them, so why not frames?! They would have some tweaks that would make it easy to tell apart from the originals we did in 2002.

How will this work, will there be a down payment? I want one of these so bad. Ever since getting back into BMX the Azusa is my ultimate dream frame. All the modern stuff with old school look.

I may have to let my chrome 24 go.

Could be very interesting...especially in chrome. I'd prefer 24 or 26".

I used to have both an Azusa and a NoMorEA so this is interesting.

That's sweeeeet! How about an eliptical downtube? Shadow forks? Or stamping the pierced top tube? I can't wait for more details. I had to get out of bed to post this!

At this point, a 26" is probably out due to retooling/jig costs above and beyond the 20 and 24's that were once made. With that said. I'm leaning towards 20" as of right now. I'm looking into the elliptical downtube as a possibility, built in seat clamp for sure, and maybe another trick or two...

They'd need to lose some weight & not have any of the prior special project flaws.

I'd be interested in a 20" chrome fork if anyone has one.

I'm not familiar with any design flaws, but I do agree, it would be nice if these frames were lighter and built for racing only. The previous jobbers were made to stand up to skatepark abuse, but I don't think that is really necessary. Thinner dropouts would do fine... I think....

I like the idea of eliptical tubing, integrated seat clamp, euro bb, and a shadow fork. That takes care of all of my needs!

If made, YES, they will have thinner dropouts. I don't know about forks at this time.

IF, these happen, I'm shooting for sooner, rather than later. Spring is just around the corner and then I get super busy at work (bike shop). Expected price, again this is just a target price, is $300 for the frame. I don't see chrome happening as it's expensive and environmentally frowned upon.

I would prefer them to come with forks. Otherwise, what forks would you put with it to do it justice? Carbon race forks? I would prefer some JMC style CroMo.....

Stick with the original AP style forks. Those are badass.

Hey Todd, who are you planning on having build the new Azusa frames?

Just a thought; have you every thought about building a modern day aluminum National Pro 20" XL and 24" Pro cruiser? You already have the Azusa.

If you still want the Azusa, why not build an evolution or concept of what a Jim Melton/JMC Darrell Young might look like today if JMC was still producing frames?

I was just thinking of something different.

Either way, at $300, I would be interested in a 24” cruiser.

There ya go Todd, if you could get some ideas from Jim Melton that would be sick. Please look into butted tubing and euro bb, stamp the tt in back. Forks would be cool but costly.

Yep, AP style forks definately.

Now this is just my opinion, you can roast me if you'd like, but if this bugger has an eliptical downtube, the AP forks wouldn't really be fitting - again, that's just my opinion. Lord knows I love the AP style forks on my Azusa and Nomorea. I'm just sayin'....

I'll take a 20" please... but when?

I am totally interested. Count me in for a 24". You should stick with AP style forks for sure. I am bummed you don't want chrome (damn EPA), but I could live with a red or white one. What timeline are we talking about? And what kind of possible downpayments are we talking about? Oh, and by the way my wife will probably kill me also. Keep us posted.

I am in favor of a frame and fork combo; just like the old days. God, do I sound old and I am only 34.

More details will come later. I don't want to narrow things down so far as to paint myself into a corner. There are lots of variables when it come to projects like these and the last thing I want is someone complaining "you said June 10th and now it's June 17th!" type of stuff. Timeline? Let's say 2009 Whenever it is. I promise, it will be worth the wait!

Please keep us posted Todd. By my tally, there are more requests for the 24".

It would be cool for them to have the built in seat clamp. I had Rod Miles add it to my Azusa seen here. Sorry for the bad pic.
