Hey guys, its been a while since I have posted on the board. But I thought I would share some new racing. Bootleg Canyon right in Boulder City NV is having its 2nd MOb'N' Mojave race. Dual slalom, Super D and downhill will be the events held next weekend. I have signed to race the Dual Slalom race. I will be racing my new Transition BottleRocket trying avoid and big falls into the vocanic rock covering Bootleg. Check out the pics below.

Yeah I like it, they have a new hardtail Bank I am thinking of getting and trying to decide if I want to change some parts on this one or get the new Double. My bottlerocket has 5.5" of travel and the new Double has 4" of travel, and if I do that I can drop some serious weight in that build compared to my present set up. And since I plan on doing mostly DS and 4X and an occasional super D I really dont need all that 5.5" of travel and can run a tighter firmer suspension to pull out of corners better and ride it more like the BMX I am used to....on the other had for this particular course my bike is pretty on par as the lower half gets pretty rough. It jumps like a dream.

I have a Profile DSL-1 frame I bought a few years back that I'd like to build up. I think it would run well on a course like this. It's a hard tail, and it looks like it would handle a lot like a BMX cruiser. I just never built it up because I found a full suspension downhill rig I wanted on ebay, and that took my attention for a while.

I've never ridden an actual DSL track, but we have a lot of trails here in colorado that naturally look like your track there. It really motivates me to put my bike together.

Your bike is really nice, too, by the way.

Those last 3 pics are of the BMX area. The track today got really loose and worked over by the middle of practice today. There were some guys riding hardtails but for the most part it was really rough and I think the best bikes there were in the 4-5" travel range. Those first pics really make the track look smooth but when racing started it was another story. When I get pics or links I will post em. I was rocking the VBMX jersey and old school open face. I did just ok today. I was having trouble hitting the shifter by accident and ending up in a WAAAYYY too hard of a gear and just could never recover. I also made real good use of the new pads I just got and made sure I got all the crashing out of me during practice...LOL
