Pretty cool! But Juan isnt stupid, he knows some good quality repos are on there way, and may, MAY I SAY, decrease the bidding frenzy on OG. Wonder what that box set him back?

Is OK Sknight88... I'm not on this to get the nasty numbers shown on the last recorded purchases made (On eBay to say the least)... Nor I'm trying to compete with my good friend DeBruin (I'm pretty sure there is plenty space for both kind of sets out there)... There will be only a few of these made available to collectors.

Wow, i kinda felt sick seeing that many nos pedals in one box...I am the first guy to pull something Nos out of the box, but think these should stay where they are ...and i still feel sick...WOW!!!

Juan, THAT IS AWESOME!!!!! Dude, if that was me, I would have been giggling like a little school girl while opening that box!!! I think it is great that you are willing to share those pedals with collectors/hobbyists! A great person you are, a big thumbs up to you bro!

Cool video!
I just wish that after sitting in a box for 20+ years there was a little more collaboration with getting jeff on the phone.
I didnt understand the urgency. 20 years and it has to be opened NOW!!!
He tried calling twice and even commented on how jeff wanted to be there when opened.
Maybe im reading to much into it. Just thought it would have been cool to see jeffs reaction.
Either way it was cool to see that.

I really think Jeff should've been in that video... (And in my mind, he was!!!) We spoke about doing this together since the day I had the case picked up... He deserved it to be there, but you are right, I did jiggle A LOT opening the case... Not to mention I stared at those 50 boxes for about an hour after everything was recorded... To me, It was a box full of pedals, now I can enjoy actually seeing them... Sharing a few... And even more the cured rash of finally getting around opening the darn thing.
In all honesty, I dont think we should associate these sets with the Awesome re issue pedals being made, they both target completely different kind of purposes.
Ah, I might take you up in the cleaning offer... But watch out!!!, there are a whole lot of other bikes in the next wall

Thanks for all the kind comments guys.

I will totally agree with this. There are going to be the people that want the reproduced ones to ride on and then the people that buy the original ones to build the authentic old school ride!

I'm not sure which is more astounding. The pedals or the amazing bike display. That is a level of collecting to which we can all aspire. Whether its bikes or postage stamps. That is how it should be done. Very impressive.

Profile cranks, Skyway TAs, Pro Necks, Reedy Pedals, just to name a few have been repopped or re-released and the originals still fetch a large sum. Depends on what the buyer wants.

found it. That is one heck of a collection. Cant view the you tube post until I get home, computers at work block the site.
He needs to set up a museum and charge some money for people to come and look at all the eye candy!! I know I would pay $5-$10 to check em all out.

I can assure you, JDB's repro pedals will likely be a bit more than 75 bucks.
And the originals will still fetch big dollars. Because they ARE original.

Juan, your passion for collecting, and the bikes we rode is second to none! Big props for recording the video, and I look forward to speaking to you at Rockford, again. I realized the degree of your love for bmx bikes about 2 seconds into our first "in person" conversation at Rockford '08. I thought I was nutz until I met you!!!

John's repops will not have much effect on prices of originals.
There are guys who won't touch repops for an authentic build.

My guess is it's just someone using Perry's name as a screen name. PK is already a member here. The real PK is not into the collecting aspect of BMX so I can't imagine him giving two hoots one way or the other about Hutch pedals.

If that guy is going to use the name Perry Kramer he should at least spell it correctly. Sheesh.
That video made me tingle. Wow! Maybe there's a box of Aerospeeds somewhere.

I reckon there must be boxes of stuff like that somewhere.
I am convinced there has gotta be a pallet of DX pedals sitting in a warehouse somewhere - it's not a stupid thing to think.
Remember the scene at the end of the first Indiana Jones movie, where they put he Ark in that warehouse?
Imagine an old school BMX warehouse like that......

I would say by the look of that carton, labelling and internal pedal boxes (I import for my business) they would be later tiawanese made (and I don't say that in negative way) Hutch Pedals...
