It gives me great pleasure to announce that my personal friend Blenny has found the fabled STB-1 hidden in his basement

For those who are too young or ignorant, the STB-1 was the original proptype Bango. It is easily identified by the dual tubes that are under the Bangos bottom bracket. Blenny got it years ago from facory Bango person Sith Blueberry who acquired directly from TONE's grandmother.

I will soon be contacting Mike Carruth so I can take a picture of him fingering the STB-1.

Soon afterward I will pimp it out, make obscene faces at people and hope to get total obnoxious bank for it.

Thank You
The Red Baron
OMG!!!

That is big news. If it has the original butter coating with the hand wrapped webbing between the double tubes I want to be the first to offer $20.00.
dayride
It came out of his basement? I figured anything involving Reilly would be coming out of the closet.
Reilley1
It was the closet in the basement...

Fingering the STB-1?!!! I have a stick of butter in my hand and my shorts around my ankles...now what do I do???
cheez
OH YEAH! well I have the first, first one that has the bungee cord full wrap over the top of the bottom bracket. I thought some soon to be bald guy/internet Genius to be named Elvis stole it but turns out I just forgot where I put it.

Schwinn parts? Schwinn parts? I'm up to my short hairs in butter and you want to talk about Schwinn Parts?! Damn it, man, have you no heart?

Found this on another site:

Dudes,

Not sure if you've heard the news: the internet is ablaze about the latest "find" -- the thought-to-be-completely-extinct STB-1 frame. The original Quad Bango, with the twin down tubes cradling the BB shell - the Stew Thumbsen Bango! This has been one of the most sought-after, dreamed-of pieces in the vintage Bango world. It's the HOLY GRAIL.

Check out how the tubing from the headtube to seatmast is one long, single tube ... a tube-bender's worst nightmare. Rumored at one time to have only made less than 10. Also rumored at one time to have been made less than 5. Stew himself says:"Some say they have one, others say they know someone who has one, but there has never been any proof. Now we have proof that one is out there."

The new owner uncovering this piece of Bango history is famed announcer Blenny Butyski - who received it from his good friend Sith Blueberry. All these decades, the holy grail of Bangodom has been stored in a Florida basement.

Attached are some pics that Blenny has released. He personally asked me to help him spread the word - and you guys are the ones I recommended to get the word out. Soon, he will be putting this legendary frame up for auction - and I think it's a safe bet that it'll go for well over $5k. As already mentioned on some old school forums - for many of us, the last 10 minutes of this auction could be the equivalent of watching the final moments of the Superbowl. Grab some popcorn and let the final bidding-battle begin!

Blenny doesn't want to hear from you. He's asked to not put his contact info out here.

I hope you can hype this up a bit for him -- it could also give him some well deserved recognition, which could help in a bid for a Hall of Fame nomination. Long before Ike Deadman or Lindsey Dorda, Blenny was the VOICE of Bango's during the 80's. The dude's got grey ROOTS.

In the Bango web-world, this will no doubt be the most anticipated auction EVER on E-Bay! Let's spread the hype and see how big it will go.

I should have known that if anyone would get that it would be you, Rick.

Where the people who leaked TONE's e-mail (There's a mental image I don't need: TONE Leaking himself) have always been Bango haters. There is absolutely no truth to it. I swear on my mother's ashes.

PS Yah, I know she's still around..she just smokes a lot

And Red, I don't know what you mean.....

The Bango sale hasn't gone so well. I was offered one million dollars by some dude named Dr Juan Evil but then he withdrew his offer. The current high offer is 37 cents, a nude picture of TONE and a half stick of gum

YOU GUYS DON"T KNOW YOUR BANGO HISTORY!!!

Good thing the million dollar offer fell through!

As some of you have heard, Johnny Hopper has decided to cease operation.

Johnny Hopper of Australia was contracted to be the supplier of Bangospeed cranks. Those of you who ordered them, will get their money back minus a 10 % previlege/restocking fee.

I had an official news release but it was written by Cheez and it was like 67 pages long and full of typos so here's an update. The prototypes will be done in 43-1/2 days and hopefully production models will be available once Race Inc learns how to weld and after TONE sends me that compromising picture of Eurohero and Afterdinnermints.
Walter
Did we agree that I was to send you the original photo? If so, I must publicly apologize. I have gotten that thing full of some sort of weird, gooey substance. Not sure if you want to actually come in contact with it.

Thats cheez, no capitol "C". At least get the name correct before you bash me, JEEZUS!

67 pages long? That sure the hell ain't me (unless it was quadruple spaced). Your getting old, you sure you didn't contract with manida or Roddog/tater and they pulled a cut and paste on your azz?

I was talking about Cheez "Queso" Gonzales from Manteca, CA.

Whatever gave you the idea I was talking about you? Geez (or is "geez",) you're so self-centered sometimes. No wonder Manida idolizes you.

Anyways, Have many do you want to order?
Walter
He just texted me saying he wants 69 big time. Nice order. Ship em.
